Snow!

We had record snow fall in the Chicago area last Sunday. Lydia was very excited to go out in the snow and catch snowflakes in her mouth. She was also happy to use her pink snow shovel on the actual snow.

Advent

The Christmas tree is up, the nativity scene is set, and the Advent books are out! When this posts we will be three days into our daily readings as we all prepare our hearts for Christmas.

Here are some photos of Momma doing an Advent reading with Lydia. The Advent Storybook has been good for Lydia this year. Voskamp will have to wait a bit longer.

And here is Lydia helping out with the Christmas tree. Momma and Lydia did a real nice job decorating.

Charlie Brown

Lydia watched her first TV show this week at Nama's while we were visiting for Thanksgiving. It was a Charlie Brown Christmas show and she watched about 15 minutes of it. She was very excited. So were we.

Birthday

Lydia turned two last week. She has been a huge joy in our life and has especially been so in this season of sorrow. We are thankful that God answers prayer and that He has blessed us with her.

Thank you to everybody who sent her cards and gifts. She received a little too much, but it was a welcome distraction. Thank you all.
