Kitchen Helper

Lydia has been a big helper in the kitchen since the move. She enjoys baking with Momma and likes to sit on the stools. She loved being in the kitchen in our last home as well, but now she has enough room to get involved without us moving things around.

Here she is in the kitchen helping Momma. Serious business.

We read a book to Lydia recently that had an apple in it that was cut in two. The seeds inside made a star. Here she is seeing this in real life.

Nama came to visit us last weekend. It is always great to see Nama, but this visit was also a huge help to us as we were able to get a lot of things done that we needed to do since moving and also attend an event at our church last Friday night. Here is Lydia in her silly glasses (from the dentist) reading a book with Nama. Thank you Nama for coming to visit!

Have a great week!

Puppy

Don't worry, not a real puppy.

The move went well. We love our new neighborhood and are just about finished unpacking. Short but funny post this week.

A few days ago Lydia requested that her puppy doll (named Puppy) needed a cookie while her and Momma were having cookies and milk. Here is how the conversation went down.

Lydia: "Momma, Puppy needs a cookie." Momma gives Lydia a cookie for Puppy, and Lydia places the cookie in front of Puppy.

Lydia: "Momma, Puppy has no mouth."

Lydia: "Momma, I'll eat Puppy's cookie." And she did.

Have a great week!

One. More. Time.

We are moving. Lord willing, this will be it. We moved to Illinois a little over a year ago. We didn't know anybody here or know the area at the time. Now we do. We bought a place near our Church in Wheaton and we are very excited to be putting down roots. Lord willing, we will be here for quite some time. We've moved over ten times in ten years and this will be Lydia's fourth home. She is two.

I'm not one to advertise upcoming birthdays but, speaking of age... when I got back from a trip yesterday I asked Lydia how her day was going so far.

Me: Lydia, what did you do today?

Lydia: We set up 'poons' for you today.

Me: Spoons?

Lydia: No. Balloons. They're hiding right now.

Here are some photos of our last days in Glen Ellyn.

Have a great week!
