Catching Up!

We (me and myself) are way behind on the blogging these days so this post will try to cover some of the major events from the last month and a half. Mostly with photos (of course).

We moved! We are in a great rental house with a really nice yard. It has been a while since Lydia has had a yard to play in and we are very thankful that the Lord provided this home for us. Here are some photos of Lydia playing in the yard and some photos of the neighborhood. (The tree swing is at a neighbor’s house.)

American Girl! And Small Cheval. With Lydia pretending to be a puppy.

Lydia finished kindergarten! I’ll start with this set of three right here so that our massive audience can take note of Lydia’s facial expressions and how they vary here and then we can move on to the rest of the photos. Real good. Real good.

Lydia finished kindergarten! (Again. Get it?!) And Grandma visited for Fine Arts Day. Here are some photos of the performance, some of her work, and some random photos of who knows what she is explaining to Grandma.

Well. that’s it for now. We are somewhat caught up and will try to update the blog sooner next time.

Packing!

Here is Lydia’s explanation of how were are going to get three bikes from our apartment to our rental house without putting the bikes into our vehicle or walking back to our apartment. She solved this riddle well - chickens and foxes crossing a river will be no match for her.

Here are some photos of Lydia helping out and her labeling of some of our boxes. Lord willing, we will be in our new place in a few days.

Easter Sunday

But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”

Matthew 28:5–10

Good Friday

And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit.

And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many. When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, “Truly this was the Son of God!”
