Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” (James 4:13–15)

God has been very good to us. We are very grateful for His timing and His provision, and we are thankful that He has promised us that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) This doesn’t mean we won’t ever get sick or die or have extremely difficult times. It means that, in the end, all things will work out for good for those who love Jesus.

If you are freaking out these days, turn to Jesus and He will not forsake you. Also, if you are not freaking out these days, turn to Jesus and He will not forsake you.

On Tuesday March 10th, Lydia went to Clapham for the last time. She said goodbye to her friends and teachers. She loved Clapham and so did we. It is a wonderful school. Here she is on her last day.

And here are some of our goodbyes.

The next day, March 11th, we sent the last of our boxes out. We also signed the paperwork for the sale of our house.

That evening Wheaton College cancelled the rest of their school year and it was announced that flights from Europe to the USA were about to be stopped.

Thursday March 12th, we left Wheaton and moved to Canada.

Friday March 13th our house sale went through. Also that day, Canada announced that everybody from the US was to be quarantined for 14 days upon arrival. We arrived one day prior to this. Presently, the border is closed to non-essential crossings and most flights to and from the US are cancelled.

Here are some photos of our time here over the last week. Most of this will most likely not be allowed anymore moving forward with the new restrictions going into place daily.

We are thankful that we are here. What a time to be a light.
